Description
Size: 95 x 140 mm, 78 cards
The Thoth Tarot was painted by the artist Frieda Harris (1877 – 1962) under the guidance of the famous occultist Aleister Crowley (1875 – 1947).
It was the first truly global tarot drawing on symbolism from many cultures past and present, East and West. Crowley intended it to be a magical atlas and guide to the universe. Today, the Crowley Thoth Tarot is one of the most famous tarot decks in the world.
For this new edition, the colour of the card images have been matched to the original painting as faithfully as possible.
The booklet was edited by Felix Warren Crosse and Frieda Harris from the writings of Aleister Crowley with additional matter by S.L. MacGregor Mathers. Preface by Gerald J. Yorke and edited with a Foreward and Afterword by William Breeze.
